Orange seeds are a minor by-product, besides their content in protein, it contains bioactive phytochemicals like polyphenols (TPC: 113.99 mg GAE/100 g), flavonoids (TFC: 0.88-0.93 mg CE/ g), being apigenin-7-glucoside the major compound, followed by catechin. Orange seed is rich in linoleic acid (39.65 %), a-tocopherol (28.09 mg/g), and present good antioxidant activity (63.3% DPPH reduction), representing potential for oil extraction.
