FoodChemPack group at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC)
On April 24, 2024, the FoodChemPack group at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC), coordinators of the VALICET project, organized a Mini-Workshop on Food Waste Valorization at the Faculty of Pharmacy, on the occasion of Professor João Lima’s visit within the Erasmus+ programme. The open session offered a space to discuss different approaches to the valorization of food residues.
In addition, on April 25, a workshop on “Methodologies for the Design and Formulation of Healthy and Sustainable Foods in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises: A Case in South America” was delivered by a PhD student from the research group. This activity, held at the Bromatology seminar room with limited attendance, provided practical insights into strategies for developing innovative and sustainable food products.
